CDT students deliver activities at Science in the Park for the 5th consecutive year

On the 7th of March, the 2018 cohort from the CDT in Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicine and the 2019 cohort of the CDT in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies teamed up to deliver an exciting day of activities running a stand at the annual Science in the Park event held at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham. Activities included "potion brewing" and "targeted medicine making" and saw children donning lab coats and safety specs to formulate their very own medicines (replacing the more traditional active pharmaceutical ingredients with the safer cornflour...!). The aim of the event was to engage children in science and give them a taste of what research takes place locally in Nottingham, and based on the smiles on both the children's and parent's faces, the day was a great success. Thanks very much to everyone who helped organise this event and made it the success it was!
