Biography

Kenneth graduated with a first class honours MPharm degree in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham in 2014, encompassing a 3-month research project under the supervision of Prof. N. Billa. Following a successful completion of a 12-month pre-registration training in community pharmacy, he registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacist in 2015.  He also completed his MSc degree in Biopharmaceuticals at King's College London in 2017, achieving a distinction and being awarded the Gorrod Prize for the Best Overall Student in Biopharmaceuticals.  He joined the CDT in Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicines at University College London in September 2017.  During his training year, he undertook a three-month project on developing nanoparticulate drug delivery system from electrosprayed and electrospun materials under the supervision of Dr. G. Williams and a further three-month project in Pfizer, Sandwich.

 
Current Research

PhD Project Title: Advanced delivery method to treat myocardial infarction

Supervisor: Prof Richard Day

Project description: The project will combine advances in polymer engineering and nanotechnology to engineer a formulation system that can deliver the cardioprotective drugs to the infarcted myocardium.
