Maria Angelerou spent a 3 months secondment with Hy2care funded by the European Communion

During my placement in Hy2care, a start-up company from the University of Twente, I had the chance to explore the challenges that the development of a product at early stages faces. Here, I joined the group of developmental bioengineering and I helped to optimise the synthesis of dextran and hyaluronic acid based polymers for knee cartilage repair.

Maria’s secondment was funded through a collaborative EU funded RISE (Research and Innovation Staff Exchange) research programme.
