Professor Cameron Alexander awarded prestigious medal for contribution to science

CDT Director Professor Cameron Alexander has been awarded the MacroGroup UK Medal by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Professor Alexander was presented with the medal at a special awards symposium held at the University of Warwick on 8th May. The medal was “Awarded for meritorious contributions to UK polymer science, particularly in the development of bioresponsive polymers and material for drug/gene delivery.”

The ceremony also honoured Professor Karen Wooley (Texas A&M University), who received the 2014 Centenary Prize for “transforming the field of polymer chemistry through the adaptation of synthetic organic chemistry concepts and the concept of macromolecular engineering.”
