PhD project generation event at the University of Nottingham

Altogether 85 students, academics from both Schools of Pharmacy and industry scientists met for a two day event to generate PhD projects for the 2016 cohort of students.

The meeting started with an evening networking meal during which our new cohort of students were taught magic tricks by a magician and later performed for everyone.

During the next day, the new students had the opportunity to actively discuss their research interests and to develop PhD projects with scientists from academia and industry.

The CDT would like to thank Prof Dave Barret, Drs Martin Garnett, Dong-Hyung Kim and Cristina de Matteis as well as CDT students Vasiliki Paraskevopoulou, Alastair Breen, Rebeca Obenza Otero and Akosua Anane-Adjei who kindly gave their time to work as facilitators for the event. Advisory board member Dr Eddie French gave the keynote lecture for the event.
