The EPSRC Centres in Doctoral Training in Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicines and the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials met for a two day networking workshop in Nottingham
The EPSRC Centres for Doctoral Training in Advanced Therapeutics and Nanomedicines at Nottingham and London Schools of Pharmacy and the Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials welcomed PhD researchers to a networking meeting between both Centres held at the University of Nottingham. The event was designed to create opportunities for early career resaerchers to build a larger scientific network for their current and future career as such networks play an important role in starting collaborations, accessing potential employers, providing new career opportunities and for making friends.

The meeting of the Centres aimed to analyse their research from different angles and to start establishing research collaborations. The sessions were led by Drs Annela Seddon, Snow Stolnik and Cristina de Matteis and incorporated a mix of communication and scientific activities. The CDT in Advanced Therapeutics also organised an artistic workshop on ‘Bodies as Landscapes’ exhibition in Nottingham’s University Djanogly Gallery followed by a dinner in Lenton and Wortley Hall as the University of Nottingham campus.
