Jatin Mistry completes secondment at Inovapotek

Jatin completes his secondment at Inovapotek. Inovapotek is a contract research organisation (CRO) that provides customised R&D, testing, regulatory and consulting services to the personal care and pharmaceutical industries and is based at the Science and Technology Park of University of Porto (UPTEC).

Whilst at Inovapotek, Jatin worked on HPLC analysis method development, topically applied skin care formulation development, solid lipid nanoparticle preparation, efficacy testing and regulatory affairs. The skills developed and results obtained will be useful for his PhD project which is on the analysis of skin permeation in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics using 3D ToF-SIMS ‘chemical histology’.

The secondment was funded through a collaborative EU funded RISE (Research and Innovation Staff Exchange) research programme.
