Claire’s course handbook based on her PhD research

Claire becomes Brilliant Club tutor and completes first school placement

CDT student Claire has completed her first school-based placement since becoming a Brilliant Club tutor.

The Brilliant Club is an award-winning charity that exists to increase the number of pupils from under-represented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities. They do this by mobilising the PhD community to share its academic expertise with state schools.

Claire very much enjoyed becoming part of the Brilliant Club community having completed training and prepared a bespoke course handbook based on her PhD research into paediatric medical devices. Despite being a large time commitment Claire found the experience extremely rewarding and would greatly encourage others to become part of the fantastic program.
