CDT training week for Nottingham and UCL students at University Park

This week first-year CDT students from Nottingham and UCL joined together at the University of Nottingham’s School of Pharmacy to take part in a week-long series of training events.

Academics from both institutions presented on a variety of training topics, including soft skills areas such as "Nature of the doctorate and supervision process", "Intellectual Property", "How to prepare a good poster" and "Business and Academia", as well as scientific sessions on "Oral drug absorption" and "Material characterisation.”

A number of PhD students from within the CDT also gave presentations on topics such as "Working with industry sponsors" and "DLS & From Chemistry to Nanomedicine.” The training week gave CDT students from both Nottingham and UCL the opportunity to network and socialise.
