CDT Colloquium Introductory Welcome

Prof Clive Roberts is the Head of the School of Pharmacy and opened the colloquium this year. Prof Bill Dawson (chair of the CDT Advisory Board) and Prof Cameron Alexander CDT director then followed to discuss the success of the first CDT cohort as they came to the end of their PhD programmes.

Dr Victoria Marlow also spoke about the involvement of EPSRC from the inception of the CDT programme. EPSRC have played a crucial role in allowing the programme and students to meet their full potential. Victoria is also an advisory board member.

Prof Mark Purdie formed part of the CDT management team until recently and now works for AstraZeneca. Prof Purdie explained the success of students in their industrial placements.
