Ami Nash and Rebecca Olubi present posters at AstraZeneca's Science Day

Ami Nash and Rebecca Olubi are currently completing their industrial training projects at AstraZeneca and participated in the first Science Day of the year, which was held for the "pharmaceutical sciences" community at Macclesfield in March. Various Science Day events are held throughout the year as an opportunity to share work and learn from others, and both Ami and Rebecca took the opportunity to present posters about their research projects. This was an exciting chance for them to engage with many people from various areas within the pharmaceutical technology and development department and understand how their work contributes to current industrial challenges.

Ami’s project is comparing the physical, compaction and dissolution properties of traditional and novel tabletting excipients. Rebecca’s project is investigating the effects of time consolidation on powder flow properties. They have both valued the experience and connections made whilst working in industry.
